I am a long time SNP voter, and I did vote for the SNP in the local election, in Aberdeen, However I am a bit disappointed with the result, Labour got 17 seats, and the SNP stayed the same at 15, it looks as if Labour got the extra seats only due to there stance on the local issue on UTG (Union Terrace Gardens) I voted against the redevelopment or the GPP in the resent Referendum. The city can not afford to take out any kind of loan to cover the amount of £92 million, According to a report on one of the local radio stations today " The First Minister is warning against overturning a public vote." if he did say this does he know that the council already ignored the public in an earlier consultation when the majority of people asked in the vote, voted against the development but the council which was led by the SNP at the time chose to go ahead regardless. this is WHY THEY DID NOT GET CONTROL OF ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL in the recent election as the chose not to listen to the public. I would like to know if they will now work with whoever forms the new administration and Scrap the plans for the CGP or will they continue fight for it. Posted on the SNP FB page and e-mailed it to there head office. Lets see if the get back to me.
I am also waiting to see if Labour keep there promise to Scrap the CGP development
