Melvin De Leeuw headed the hosts in front, and Yoann Arquin spurned a great chance to make it 2-0 minutes later. The Dons hit the woodwork three times before Rooney finally drew them level, finishing from close range. Both sides missed great chances to find a winner in a pulsating last 10 minutes which saw Andrew Considine sent off for a professional foul. County boss Derek Adams will be frustrated his side did not take all three points with a number of opportunities passed up when a win would have moved them five points clear of second-bottom St Mirren. Aberdeen's dropped points mean Celtic have the opportunity to wrap up the Scottish Premiership title when they visit Partick Thistle on Wednesday night. It was the Dons who started the brightest in a bid to improve on a poor record in Dingwall that had seen them fail to pick up any points on previous visits. Goalkeeper Mark Brown did well to deny Barry Robson when the veteran midfielder bulleted a header straight at him from Shaleum Logan's cross. Aberdeen continued to set the early pace but, out of nothing, Ross County had the ball in the net and thought they had taken the lead. Arquin latched on to a long ball and knocked over Alan Tate before finishing but the assistant referee spotted the infringement and the goal was ruled out. Mark Reynolds saw a goal-bound shot cleared by Yann Songo'o but, after withstanding Aberdeen's early threat, it was County who were now the team on top. And an impressive clearance by Logan served only to prevent a County opener as the unchallenged De Leeuw headed Graham Carey's free-kick beyond Jamie Langfield. The home side should have had a second before half-time. Evangelos Ikonomou stole the ball off the toes of Carey but blasted his shot over. Then, a breakaway saw Aberdeen outnumbered at the back, and when De Leeuw picked out Arquin it looked certain to be 2-0, but Langfield raced from his goal-line to deny the striker. With the Dons struggling to get Rooney or McGinn into the game, Robson continued to be their main goal threat. And, five minutes into the second-half, the midfielder unleashed a thunderous shot that cracked off the bar. The visitors hit the woodwork again when Cammy Smith's looping header bounced off the post to Joe Shaughnessy and the latter could not get enough on the rebound to trouble Brown. A poor clearance by Langfield almost gifted County their second. Under pressure from Arquin, the goalkeeper kicked the ball straight to De Leeuw who who rattled a shot straight back at him which was then spilled into the path of Arquin, but Langfield managed to recover and save. Langfield was busy again a minute later, this time pulling off a fantastic one-handed save to tip Filip Kiss' shot wide. At the other end Robson's shot was deflected off Brittain and Brown had to tip it over. But from the resulting corner, the Dons grabbed their equaliser. Ryan Jack sent in a looping shot from the edge of the box which the goalkeeper managed to push wide at full stretch. Mark Reynolds hit the post with the rebound, but the second time it fell to him he was able to square for Rooney to knock it in. It was end-to-end as the game entered its closing stages and the game took another twist when Considine was red-carded for bundling over Carey when he was one-on-one with Langfield. Scott Boyd headed wide for the home side, then Calvin Zola should have buried Rooney's low cross instead of putting it in the stand. Songo'o and Ryan Jack both had chances right at the death. The County man failed to finish when Steven Saunders headed into his path, then Jack shot over the bar. The Managers preview of tonight's game against Ross County , copied from RedWeb "We always knew after the Cup Final that three games in a week was going to be a challenge for us and we've managed to overcome the first hurdle with a convincing win over Kilmarnock. I was delighted with our performance, delighted with the energy levels of the players as well so we're very much looking forward to the game at Ross County, which is always a difficult fixture, for any team going up there, and again at this stage in the season the points are equally important for their cause as for our cause so it will be a competitive match and one we'll need to play well in. "We have no fresh injury worries. Peter still won't make it although he is improving and hopefully he will have an opportunity to be back in the squad for Saturday. "Both Nicky and Cammy, when they've played their part this season, have always acquitted themselves well. Like everyone else in the squad they are desperate to play their part and I think that showed in their performances at the weekend but I wasn't surprised by that. "We lost a game up there either in the season that we didn't do enough in to win. Our levels of performance weren't what we had shown previously and shown since so it just shows when we are not at that level then we are vulnerable so we've got to make sure that we do all we can to bring a performance we are capable of, like we did in the home game. They are always tough opponents, but they've got that bit of quality in their side that can cause teams problems. "We will finish in the league where we deserve to finish. "We feel that regardless of what teams are around us do between now and the end of the season we know that if we can continue in a similar vein that we've shown this season we'll be there or there abouts. It's important we try and go all the way and maintain that level consistency and level of results which has been so pleasing for us. I think over the course of a League campaign it would be great credit to the players if we were to end up in the top three." The open top bus carrying the management team, the players and the trophy left Albyn Place at just after 1pm and slowly made its way down Union Street to the Town House. At the Town House captain Russell Anderson and manager Derek McInnes did the traditional photo opportunity where they went onto the Town House balcony holding the cup aloft. REDTV had exclusive access to the bus | please click here to view Derek McInnes spoke to REDTV as the bus made its way slowly down Aberdeen's main street. "We have all seen the scenes from past Aberdeen teams and the big crowds on days like this so you are always a bit weary if people will turn out for you but they certainly did. Thankfully the weather was ok and the turnout was brilliant. The number of supporters helped make the day even more special for the players and myself. It will be a day both the players and fans won't forget. "I said when I arrived at the club that I wanted the fans and the city to fall back in love with the football club again. Aberdeen Football Club has a really loyal core of supporters who turn up every week. There are other supporters who were not sure if the club was going in the right direction but day's like today can only help get people back on board. "The way the team has performed this season has brought a bit of pride back to the city. We know we are not the finished article and there is still a lot of hard work to be done but the fans appreciate we have a team that represents them well. "Between now and the end of the season we have to build on the momentum that we have created. We have still got a lot to play for this season but even it terms of looking ahead to next season and beyond we have got to try and use the momentum to keep progressing. It is important we keep recruiting well and if we do that we will hopefully have more days like this." Adam Rooney: "It's been absolutely fantastic since I came in. You can see the support that we have here today- it's incredible! It's a great day for the city and all the fans and hopefully it's the first of many. "Everyone at the club, the fans, the games we've had- it's all been going very well and we just have to make sure we keep doing that until the end of the season. "We weren't sure what the turnout would be but the whole street is covered from one end to the other- it's brilliant! A great day!" Barry Robson: "It shows how big a football club this is. It's been a long time waiting and I'm sure everybody here today is going to enjoy their day. If you include the crowd we managed to get at Parkhead - it's been sensational the support we have had in the past few weeks. "The boys are delighted and we've got a chance to come and do it again. That's the kind of squad we've got that we're looking to do it again!" Cammy Smith: "We've heard all about it before back in the old days and it's great to experience it. I wasn't quite sure how many would turn out but it's absolutely filled and it's been a brilliant day so far. "It would mean everything for us to go on and win the double. We've got a great chance but we've got it all to do in the semi-final. We've still got to take care of league business as well and we're all just craving more success after the good feeling of last Sunday." Niall McGinn: "You live for days like these. To see the number of people that have turned out- we didn't even expect half this crowd- it's just unbelievable the number of fans that have turned out! "It just makes you more hungry. We've won one cup now and if we keep putting in the performances that we have done you never know- they're may be another day like this. "It shows what it means to everyone. It's good to see them turn out in their numbers and hopefully they can stick with us for the rest of the season." Nicky Low: "It's obviously the highlight of my career so far- to lift the trophy was incredible. Hopefully it's the first of many. "I was just happy to score the penalty! The boys held their nerve when Inverness missed two so we're just delighted to get the win so we could enjoy and experience this today. Peter Pawlett: "Davie Wylie spoke about this before and the experience of it is just unbelievable- it's a great day. "I was really disappointed to miss the final but we've got the chance to experience it again. It just gives the boys the hunger to do it!" Russell Anderson: "Not taking anything away from the actual day itself but to see the turnout today is absolutely incredible. I think they were expecting a big turnout but this is incredible! "When I returned to the club this was the furthest thing from my mind to be honest - I was just hoping to prolong my career for a couple of seasons so I couldn't have in my wildest imagination thought we would end up with this. "I think once you get a taste for it- it's been a long time coming- there's no reason why we can't go for it again. We've got a good opportunity to try to get through to the Scottish Cup Final so we really want to be back here in May to experience this again." Ryan Jack: "The whole city is buzzing and it's a great feeling once again. It top's off last Sunday as well. "You can see all the people that have come out on the streets to show their support for us and all the boys are grateful for that- it's absolutely amazing!" Scott Vernon: "It shows the strength of the city. We're all very proud to have produced for these guys which is the most important thing for us. "We were overwhelmed at Celtic Park with the numbers that turned out and today just emphasise that again. It's just fantastic for the city that you can see everyone has come together. "It's one of the best moments of my career. It's hard because you want to bottle it up and take it with you but it's something that I'll always remember. We don't want to rest on that and theres a chance to do it again in a few weeks so we'll be going for that!" Shay Logan: "This is unbelievable! I didn't think that it would be like this. I knew there would be a lot of fans here but I didn't think there would be anything like this what so ever. "To see this, shows the support this city gives their football team." Aberdeen took on Kilmarnock at Pittodrie in the SPFL today a week after winning the Scottish League in front of a healthy crowd of 17,029. who turned out to watch the Dons win 2 -1 and to see the League cup being displayed at the Ground before the Kick off.Match summary: from RedWeb The Dons recorded another important victory at Pittodrie as they came from behind to defeat Kilmarnock. Kilie took the lead on 11 minutes when McKenzie fed Boyd who swivelled and shot inside the box and into the back of the net. Their lead lasted only 6 minutes as The Dons recovered well from the setback and Adam Rooney grabbed the equaliser when he turned and shot from the edge of the box past Samson. The Dons had numerous opportunities and played really neat football at times after that but couldn't find the net again to leave the scores level at half time. After the break The Dons dominated and got their reward on 72 minutes when Mark Reynolds cut the ball back for Ryan Jack to slot home. They had several chances to add to their lead including a shot from McGinn which whistled past the left hand post. There was no further scoring though as The Dons recorded another vital victory. Attention now turns to tomorrow's parade through the streets of Aberdeen before Tuesday's vital clash with Ross County in Dingwall. Adam Rooney's seventh Aberdeen goal brought his team level and Niall McGinn twice failed to add to that soon after. But Ryan Jack's low, steered finish in the 72nd minute brought the hosts their third win of the season over Killie. It keeps Aberdeen in second place with a game-in-hand over Motherwell, who sit level on 57 points with Derek McInnes's men. Kilmarnock's desire to increase the distance between them and the relegation play-off spot will have to wait another week, but Partick Thistle, Ross County and St Mirren all losing on Saturday is consolation for manager Allan Johnston Aberdeen's Peter Pawlett and Jonny Hayes have to be on their toes to avoid the sprinklers pre-match Aberdeen sent out Peter Pawlett and Jonny Hayes to stroll around the Pittodrie pitch holding the League Cup trophy five minutes before kick-off, but how McInnes and a boosted home crowd wished the midfield pair could have stayed there once referee Craig Thomson blew his starting whistle. Reliance on the creativity and attacking surges of Pawlett, in particular, has been heavy, while Hayes can also conjure up something out of nothing in the final third. It was that section of the park that Kilmarnock's Rory McKenzie made a piercing, unchallenged run into to create the opening goal for Boyd. The visitors' top marksman knew too well how much his low strike on the turn, which rolled painfully past a helpless Jamie Langfield, would deflate the home crowd and celebrated by holding hand over mouth to rub in his 19th of the season. Cammy Smith's immediate 20-yard shot whizzing a foot wide of Killie goalkeeper Craig Samson's post suggested Aberdeen wouldn't let the setback bother them, and Rooney's subsequent equaliser confirmed it. At the hub of its creation was Nicky Low, who along with Smith looked to deputise for the likes of Pawlett, Hayes and the benched Barry Robson. Low's exchange of passes with Rooney allowed the latter to spin and direct a low shot - and one not unlike Boyd's finish - into the corner of Samson's net. From there, the hosts found some momentum and both Rooney and Smith took turns to provide Niall McGinn with a couple of opportunities which the Northern Irishman turned over. Killie's second half offering amounted to one Boyd shot from distance which Langfield dealt with comfortably. It was in defence where the visitors were winning their stripes. Vitaljis Maksimenko and Lee Ashcroft repelled what came into the box as a result of Aberdeen's dominant possession and the Dons opted to introduce Robson in search of the killer delivery that would make the difference. That cross arrived, although from the unlikely boot of Mark Reynolds. His low ball from the byline at the left-hand side was completely missed by Smith but rolled onto Jack who stroked it beyond Samson at the Beach End. Jack went on to carve another chance for McGinn, who poked wide to confirm it wasn't his day in front of goal. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20140322/redweb-spfl-matchday-live-aberdeen-2-1-kilmarnock_2212158_3726281 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26589844 Got a reply from the Post Office regarding their proposed move of the Lewis Road Post Office by E-Mail today, So after the 15Th May 2014 we are going to lose another local Post Office from the Mastrick/Sheddocksley area of Aberdeen as they are moving the Mastrick Post Office to Clunie Place As for them saying that the No 23 runs every 10 min, well it is supposed too, however in reality it's every 15-20 min wait, and on a Sunday it's a Half Hour Service . Good luck to the New Operator getting the Landlord, ( Aberdeen City Council) to resurface the Car Park and Painting the parking bays along with the disabled parking bays , as the can't even sort out the Potholes that are on the main roads in the area As the car park is at the moment there is no way that I would take a car into the car park, and as for pushing/wheeling a wheelchair over it there is no way you could do that as the person in the chair would end up on the road . As for there being extra parking along Rousay Drive, that is a busy access road to Woodend Hospital and the Tesco Superstore and you can't park there for safety reasons here is the reply in it's entirety. Dear Customer Lewis Road Post Office® Unit 1, Lewis Road, Aberdeen, AB16 6TU Decision - move to new premises & branch modernisation I'm writing to confirm that we will be proceeding with our proposal to move the above Post Office branch to Nisa Store, 115 Rousay Drive, Aberdeen, AB15 6LT, where it will be known as Rousay Drive Post Office and operate as one of our new local style Post Office branches. We received a number of comments from customers and local representatives during the local public consultation period. The main feedback centred on the extra distance some customers would have to travel to access Post Office services, particularly the elderly and those with mobility constraints. We also received comments about the availability of space in the proposed new premises and traffic and parking in the area. This feedback helped me to understand customers’ concerns and to make sure that all such information was taken into account before finalising our plans. Following the feedback received during consultation and concerns raised by respondents, Post Office Ltd and Consumer Futures, the independent statutory consumer watchdog for the Post Office network, walked the ground to get a better understanding of these concerns and, to ensure that these were fully taken into account before finalising our plans. The move of this branch is part of our modernisation and investment plans for the Post Office network. As part of the programme, we asked our subpostmasters whether they wished to stay with the network and subsequently the vacancy was advertised and all applications were considered. A number of factors are taken into account when considering an appointment; including the location and suitability of the premises. The processes we follow are established and robust to be fair to all applicants and the new operator was selected following the successful completion of our application process. Consequently, with the wish of the existing subpostmaster to leave the network it was important to find a sustainable location for the Post Office service in this area of Aberdeen. We acknowledge that the proposed premises are approximately 1000 metres from the current site and appreciate that this will inconvenience some people. In situations such as this there will always be some customers who are more inconvenienced than others and we can only apologise for this. Equally, for some customers the proposed site may be closer and more convenient to access than at present. In terms of accessing the new location, there is a bus service (route 23) operating every 10 minutes which customers can use and which stops about 100 metres from the new site. For those choosing to walk, there is a pedestrian crossing across Lang Stracht. Parking is also available outside and in close vicinity to the new premises. I am therefore satisfied that following the move Post Office services will remain accessible for customers. While I acknowledge the comments about traffic flow and parking, it is fair to say that this is a problem faced in many locations nationwide. When looking at service provision in an area, we do consider the needs of our customers and although the availability of parking spaces and traffic flow are outside the direct control of the Post Office, I have further reviewed this aspect of the proposal. There is a car park at the parade of shops where the new premises are located with a designated disabled space and further roadside parking along Rousay Drive and opposite. Our new operator will also approach the landlord to see if they would repaint the parking bays and re-surface the car park. I am therefore satisfied that there is adequate parking provision in the vicinity of the proposed branch to meet customer requirements. However, it’s clear that the Post Office plays an important part in the lives of customers and we want to make our services as accessible as possible. Internally the new branch will be in line with Post Office specifications, making sure there is sufficient space for the new style local Post Office to operate alongside the retail offer. We will be working closely with the new operator in the internal layout and some fixtures and fittings will be re-aligned or removed to make sure there is unimpeded access into the premises. Aisles and the queuing area will be kept free from obstructions and adequate room will be provided for customers and wheelchairs to move around the store. I have carefully considered our original proposal and the feedback received during the public consultation period. I am satisfied that the new branch will be suitably located within the wider community it serves and confident that this new way of offering Post Office services will meet customer needs, whilst helping to provide future sustainability for the branch. The new local style Post Office will operate from an open plan till located on the shop counter, enabling customers to carry out a wide range of Post Office products and services alongside retail transactions. The change also means that the Post Office hours are aligned to the store so customers will benefit from significantly longer opening hours, including Saturday afternoon, Sunday opening and longer opening times throughout the week, so they have more flexibility and can use our services seven days a week and at times that suit them better. Details of the new service are provided at the end of this letter together with a product list, which lets you know which services will be available at your new branch. The current branch will close at 13:00 on Thursday 15 May 2014, with the new branch opening, at Nisa Store, 115 Rousay Drive, at 13:00 on Thursday 15 May 2014. Posters will now be displayed in branch to let customers know about this decision. You can also find a copy of this letter on our website at postofficeviews.co.uk. When entering the website you will be asked to enter the code for this branch: 292801. This change to the Post Office network is being carried out in accordance with the Code of Practice for changes to the network, as agreed with Consumer Futures the national consumer organisation. As most of you will be aware, there has been a campaign by the Red Army to get the Human League classic 'Don't You Want Me' to number one in honour of Peter Pawlett. Peter told us, "I have been totally overwhelmed by the response from our supporters to the Peter Pawlett baby song. "Having to miss the Cup Final was hugely disappointing but the fans were fantastic with me after the game. To hear them all singing the song and chanting my name was an unbelievable feeling. I want to thank them all for their support and for their efforts to make the song number 1 in the charts." The Human League has this afternoon released the following statement: "For us to be waking up this morning to find 'Don't You Want Me' at No.4 on the ITunes singles chart was absolutely amazing and has to rank as one of the biggest surprises of our career to date, which after over thirty five years in the music business is really saying something. We are slightly stunned but at the same time very honoured that the fans of Aberdeen F.C. have chosen our song as their anthem to Peter Pawlett and their achievement in getting it so high in the charts in the space of just one day is a real testament to both their dedication to their club and to this player in particular. "Speaking as a band who have always enjoyed a deeply loyal and enthusiastic fanbase of our own we know just how important the fans really are and what a difference they can make. We do of course wish the Aberdeen fans every success in their campaign to honour Peter by getting 'DYWM' to No.1 on Sunday and regardless of whether they succeed or not we hope that both they and everyone involved with the club have a fantastic day at their League Cup Parade this coming Sunday. As we believe the saying goes in Aberdeen…….. Come On You Reds!" Everyone at AFC would like to thank the Human League and their management team for their support. COYR from all around the world Please help the fans get the record to No 1 See more at RedWeb Copied from RedWeb http://www.afc.co.uk/page/Home/0,,10284,00.html Following on from the loss of Pawlett pre-match, Aberdeen suffered a second blow when they lost Hayes to injury after only five minutes. In a tight first half Aberdeen missed their two creative players, but still created the better of the chances. The closest they came to breaking the deadlock was in the 25th minute when Captain Russell Anderson rattled the woodwork with a magnificent volley. The Dons also had a strong penalty claim when Rooney appeared to be tripped inside the box, but referee McLean was not interested. If the Dons were to win this one then they were going to have to grind it out. Inverness started the second half on the front foot as they started to put Aberdeen under severe pressure. As the half continued Aberdeen started to take control again and McGinn should have won the cup with four minutes to go. The Inverness defence switched off and McGinn went one-on-one with the keeper but sliced his effort wide when it looked easier to score. A late free kick for Inverness was nervously cleared and the match went to extra time. Neither team could break the deadlock and the lottery of penalties would decide this. Aberdeen scored all four penalties as Inverness missed two with Langfield saving the first. Rooney was the lucky man to hit the winner and the cup heads north along with 40,000 ecstatic fans. A word for Inverness however as they competed well and took this one to the wire. After a stalemate 120 minutes with Inverness CT, the Parkhead showdown was decided on penalties, with Adam Rooney firing the Dons to a 4-2 win. More than 40,000 Dons fans travelled down to the game and they were in great form. From the first minute to the last they sang their hearts out and roared their team to victory. That is the loudest Parkhead has been domestically this season and it's certainly the loudest it will be. On the pitch the Dons came close after goalmouth scramble in the Caley box, Richie Foran cleared the ball off the line. The Dons were denied a stonewall penalty in the 35th minute, when Adam Rooney was fouled in the box when he latched onto through ball. The Irishman was furious with the referee's decision. In the second half the Dons seemed to slack off, with Inverness breaking forward without really threatening. In the closing minutes, Niall McGinn was gifted a glorious chance, skipping past a defender, before chipping the ball over the bar. Extra time was quite uneventful, with the Dons pinning Caley back looking for an opening. It all came down to a penalty shootout and when Caley missed their first two, Robson, Low, Vernon and Rooney netted to win the cup and sparked rapturous Red Army celebrations. After 19 years of hurt, the Dons finally got their hands on a trophy. The game may be over, but the party will go on. Confirming the news, Chairman Stewart Milne said. "It's fantastic that Derek and Tony are committing themselves for the long haul and I'm sure our supporters will be as pleased as everyone at the Club is. We were convinced from day one that they didn't see the task at the Club as being anything other than a long term project and having our management team on long term contracts, in addition to an important nucleus of the playing squad on similar deals, bodes extremely well for the future. "Derek and Tony have had a major impact on the Club since taking over the reins, we are all delighted with the progress to date, but as Derek keeps reminding us, we are very much at the start of a journey, hopefully Sunday will be another major step along the way, however success to him will not be viewed on the back of one good season, but on being able to sustain the Club at the top end of the league, competing at the final stages for trophies, playing in Europe, on a sustained basis, and that is also what everyone associated with the Club desires". Manager McInnes added. "When Tony and I arrived at Pittodrie we knew we would need time to transform it into our squad. We have demonstrated this season that we are definitely heading in the right direction but we're far from the finished article. We both really enjoy working at the Club but we are only some way towards what we would like to achieve here. It's great that the Board also believes we are doing a decent job and the additional contract allows us time to really plan for the future in terms of developing the squad." Derek and Tony took charge of Aberdeen last year, taking over from Craig Brown and Archie Knox for the five post-split SPL matches. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20140314/boost-ahead-of-cup-final-as-management-team-extend-stay_2212158_3712780 Derek McInnes | "The boys have trained well all week. When the game comes around that excitement will build. The reason we came to St Andrews was to get away from the intensity that is in the city. It is good for the players to be around each other so they can focus on the job they have to do and prepare properly. "It is something we want to enjoy as well but we have to accept we all have responsibilities to do the job regardless of the extra attention on us. "The players have handled a lot of the challenges thrown at them this season really well. They have shown good focus on each individual challenge we have had, particularly in the League Cup where we have come through some difficult matches. "We still have to earn the right to win the cup. No one is just going to give it to us. "Sunday is a huge occasion for the club, but we want to make sure it is an occasion to remember and not one to forget - that's the message I always give the players. Those players deserve a lot of credit for getting us to this cup final, but now that we are here, we're not coming along for the ride, we want to go on and win it, just as Inverness do. "I am full of respect for Inverness.Inverness has a good squad of players and have a squad that can cope with the midweek game. They have some really quality in there as they have some cracking players. They are a team with a good spirit. "It will be a fantastic spectacle with the 40,000 Aberdeen fans but it is important the players just concentrate on their jobs. They have to manage their own game well. If they can do that then hopefully we can produce a level of performance. "it is important we react in the right way to the occasion, that we trust ourselves individually and as a team to put in a performance, to work hard for each other as we have been doing all season, and do enough on the day to win. "The players have to be busy and affect the game. They cannot let the game pass them by. "You cannot get to a cup final and then just hope things go your way. "I think the one thing we can learn from the semi final is that we were too geed up. As a team we were too eager and too excited to go and win the game. I would rather the players were like that though than hiding and not taking responsibility. The boys will want to play their part, get involved to get the team on the front foot. "We know how many people want this. "I have an idea on the team. We will wait and see if everyone is fit. Peter Pawlett trained on Wednesday so hopefully he will make it. He is a big player for us. The only person who misses out is Clark Robertson, the game has come along too quickly for him." RedTV | to watch the managers press conference please click here Barry Robson | "We have had a good couple of days in St Andrews. We have had some good training sessions and have been able to spend some good time together. The experienced boys do have a responsibility to look after the younger ones but if we just go about our business in a professional and proper manner and prepare for the game as we would any other the young boys will see that. "If you do the right things, eat the right things, live the right way, train the right way - the young boys watch that every day so you need to be doing those things week in week out and not just in the week of a cup final. The young boys have been fantastic for us all season and I am sure they will be again on Sunday. "The young boys will enjoy it. They will be nervous but that is a good thing. I will be nervous as well. I have always said it is good to be nervous. If I did not have nerves I would not want to still be playing. "I like to think we are preparing for this game correctly. The manager is very demanding on that. "Every cup final you are in is special. I could not say one cup final or trophy I have been in is more special than another one. It is an incredible feeling. It is an addictive feeling and one you want to have over and over again. So this will be as good as anything I have done before. "I have always believed in a strong team ethic. Winning the cup as a team is more important than anything that happened individually on the day such as scoring. Hopefully as a team we can win the cup but it will be very tough. "Aberdeen is a fantastic club. It is a superbly run club and there are a lot of people who work very hard behind the scenes. It is a club with a great support, many of whom spend a lot of money travelling to games. "Although everyone says Aberdeen are the favourites, let's not forget that Inverness CT finished above us in the league last season. They have a great squad that they have built up over a number of years. "It is a cup final, there will be pressure on both teams." RedTV | to watch Barry's press conference please click here Russell Anderson | "The way the manager has gone about his business this season he has always made the next game the most important. I think that is why we have had such a good season so far. It is obviously an important game for everyone concerned with the club. "The players all appreciate the significance of the game but we will just be preparing for it like we have any other game this season. We will focus properly on our training and our preparation will be good. Hopefully by Sunday we will be in the right frame of mind to go out and do the job we have to do. When the game starts it is important just to concentrate on the game and not worry about everything else that is going on round about it. "There is no getting away from the fact it will be a very difficult match against Inverness. There has not been much between the sides in any of the three games this season and they will think they have as good a chance of winning today as we do. We are under no illusions as to how difficult a game this is going to be. "I will not need to say too much to the players. Everyone comes into football to win things. Everyone knows how big a game this is and it is hopefully one we will enjoy." RedTV | to watch Russell's press conference please click here Jonny Hayes | "The manager and Doc have made sure we have concentrated on one game at time so it was only after Saturday we turned our attentions to the final. It was good to come away and prepare properly for the game which we have done. The training has been hard though. This has been no holiday camp. "We are in no doubt how hard a game this is going to be. We are not just going to turn up and someone is going to hand us the cup. "We are going to have to work as hard as we have done all season. There are no easy games and there are certainly no easy cup finals. Everyone is playing down Inverness' chances but they are a good good team. If you look at the games this season, they have been very close and I believe both sides are evenly matched." RedTV | to watch Jonny's interview please click here Willo Flood | "Having played in a cup final I understand what it means to everyone connected to the club. It is only a good day though if you win. I was on a losing side so hopefully things will go better for me this time and we can go and get a result. "I believe that if everyone in the team plays as well as they can we have a chance of getting the result we want. "Everyone gets on in the dressing room really well. There is a great spirit in the dressing room. When we go for lunch everyone mixes well together. The Manager is big on that and that is the culture he has brought to the club. "It will be a fantastic occasion on Sunday. Hopefully we can give the 40,000 fans a day to remember. "Every time you play for this club there is pressure to win." RedTV | to watch Jonny's interview please click here Adam Rooney | "This is my first major cup final. I played in the BBC Alba Cup with Inverness but this is obviously the biggest game I have been involved in. I am very much looking forward to it. "I have read a couple of papers who are trying to suggest there is extra pressure on us. Since I have come in we have had a couple of high pressure games. The only pressure you feel is from the demands we put on ourselves. We want to win and play well every week. So we will prepare as we do for any game, training hard and will be ready for Sunday. "Things have been brilliant for me since I arrived at the club. My first five games were away from home but they were like home games because of the number of fans who travelled. "We are on a good run at the moment so we want to keep that going regardless of the competition. We do feel that on our day we are capable of beating anyone. The reason we are on a good run is because of the desire in the dressing room to do well and improve as a squad. Even when we have not played well, we have managed to grind out results. "My own form has been decent. To score six goals in eight games, I could not have asked for a better start. Much of that is down to the creativity in the side. The rest of the players are creating a lot of opportunities and hopefully that continues. "We all know how tough a game Sunday will be. The most important thing is we go out and perform. The gaffer is always on to us about going out and giving 100%. The Partick Thistle game was a bit of a wakeup call. If every player does not go out and do their jobs then you will struggle. We must keep our concentration." RedTV | to watch Adam's press conference please click here Mark Reynolds | "It has been a long time in coming so I am glad the final is now here. The way the season has gone every game has been big, and the games and getting bigger every week now. We have had a good few days in St Andrews. We have done a number of hard training sessions and we feel ready for the game now. We have been able to focus fully on the game which is vital. Come Sunday we will be ready to go. "The fans have been unbelievable all season. There are a lot of positives to take from the fact we have that number of fans coming to the game."
